Chemicals will weaken the leather over time. Be patient. Its ruggedness will grow in character with you.
Don't be afraid of a scuff. Lick your finger. Rub it in. The oils from your skin shape the patina's look over time. So go ahead. Handle it!
Avoid leaving leather for extended periods of time in direct sunlight or extreme heat. We recommend Rustico's Custom Designed Leather Cleanerfor additional leather cleaning and conditioning.

First, let’s talk about how FAST I received my CUSTOMIZED journal. I expected the shipping to take a while, but I received my journal in less than 5 business days. When I opened the package, I immediately FaceTimed my sister because I was in awe at the quality. It really is a beautiful journal. The leather is gorgeous. The refillable paper is sturdier than average notebook paper, but not too stiff. The engraving is very clean and subtle, not gaudy. I recommend this company to everyone. God led me to this site, and the company definitely performed.
As an avid journalist, no not the news kind, but one who obsesses over writing daily logs about her life, am totally in love with my smooth, buttery, and exuberant scent of genuine leather journal. The pages are cream color and are fountain pen friendly as long it’s anywhere from extra fine nib to medium nib. Broad or bent nibs will bleed through the pages. Other than that you can most certain switch out the notebook of your choosing but the sweet cover of this journal is worth every penny. Gorgeously made and very well loved by journalers. Will be purchasing more for birthdays and Christmas!
To start, the neutral color is not an off white its a baby soft pink. If I had known that I would have never picked this color because I absolutely dislike pink! My notebook had a noticeable white line on the front cover like it was scrapped up or something. The white line won't go away. The engraving was nice, nice size letters and spacing. I'm not sure if I would order something like this again that was almost $100. I was so excited for it to come.....
The notebook has excellent quality; however I ordered the Ocean Blue notebook and the one I received looks closer than black.
Every product has such excellent quality and detail in the craftsmanship. My 2nd Rustico journal and it’s something I’ll treasure for years!
